Tip #23 Write Down Goals
Share
Ever feel like you're navigating the NDIS blindfolded while riding a unicycle? You're not alone! One simple trick can make this wild ride a bit smoother: writing down your goals.
Your goals aren't just fancy words on paper. They're your personal GPS through the NDIS maze. When you jot them down in your Calendary, you're essentially creating a treasure map to the support you actually need.
Here's why this matters: goals can be sneaky little things. When a new NDIS Plan gets approved, sometimes your goals don't automatically update with it. Oops! If you've written them down, you'll spot this mistake faster than you can say "bureaucratic oversight." Then you can politely (or not so politely) ask for that change.
Where should you write these magical goals in your Calendary? Anywhere you like! Just make sure they're hanging out near your plan dates. This way, when plans change, your goals are right there raising their hands saying, "Hey! Don't forget about us!"
Goals are like those friends who remind you what you really wanted after a few too many drinks at happy hour. They keep you focused when paperwork and appointments start swirling around you like a paper tornado.
So grab that pen. Write down what matters to you. Be specific. Be bold. And when the NDIS system starts doing its thing, you'll have your goals there reminding everyone – including yourself – what this is really all about: your journey, your way.
